Barracuda Brand

Barracuda Brand was founded in 2015 by designer Shaunessy Lynn and artist Kelly Breez. The two native Floridians and childhood friends got together one night to make a custom-fitted pair of overalls to meet both of their work and style needs.

Along with functionality, they wanted something that would stop people on the street; clothing influenced by an intersection of visual art and the vivid Florida landscape.

Shaunessy was raised by her grandmother, who came to this country from Nicaragua and made clothes for people to support the family. Growing up in her grandmother’s dress shop, making clothes has always just been a way of life. Fashion is literally in her blood.

After high school, she attended the Art Institute in Chicago to learn the modern techniques her grandmother could not show her.

Shaunessy is unique in that she still does things the old way with hand drawn patterns, grading by hand, and sewing everything with her own two hands.
